On March 10, Leonard Zeskind gave a speech entitled “From There to Here” at a forum at the Unitarian Universalist Church in midtown Kansas City, Missouri.  About 150 attended.  The speech covered the wide territory from the Klan’s anti-immigrant border watches in the 1970s to the Tea Party movement’s anti-immigrant fever during the Obama Administration.  Today, Zeskind argued, 31% of the population is firmly anti-immigrant and are willing to shut down the government to achieve their goals.

His speech was warmly received and was republished on the local community radio station, KKFI http://www.kkfi.org/program-episodes/from-there-to-here-with-leonard-zeskind/.
