“Native Americans from all nations and non-natives will rally together to voice their opposition in a peaceful manner.” This rings loud and clear in a statement by Dustin Monroe of Native Generational Change about the Native-led protest against the anti-Indian Citizens Equal Rights Alliance conference in Kalispell, Montana on Saturday. NGC’s message was published in Char-Koosta News, the publication of the Flathead Indian Nation, and the Missoulian, calling out CERA’s scare tactics, exploitation of ignorance and attempts to recruit elected officials to their racist cause. NGC affirms that “Montanans of all races have stood in the past together and this Saturday generations of Montanans will make a stand once again against hate.”
