Peter Gemma, a resident of a Sarasota, Florida, is a Tea Partier signed up to the ResistNet Tea Party faction. Gemma is also a professional white nationalist. He served as head of Design, Marketing, and Advertising for the white nationalist Council of Conservative Citizens newsletter, the Citizens Informer.
All of the Council of Conservative Citizen core issues are racially charged: official recognition of Confederate battle flags, preserving monuments to the Confederacy, attacks against affirmative action and non-white immigration. In writing about immigration, the Citizens Informer has complained that non-white immigrants were turning the U.S. population into a “slimy brown mass of glop” – an act likened to “genocide.”
In addition to his role with the tabloid, Gemma was “media coordinator” for the Capital Region of the Council of Conservative Citizens for several years. At a June 20, 2003 Council of Conservative Citizens conference Gemma delivered speech ridiculing African Americans entitled “The Latest Indignity: Reparations.”
Gemma also acted as media director for the Augusta, Georgia-based National Policy Institute, a white nationalist think-tank, which claims to promote “the American majority’s unique historical, cultural, and biological inheritance…”
Gemma participates in the Holocaust denial wing of the movement, as well. In 2006, he wrote a review of British Holocaust denier David Irving’s latest book for the anti-Semitic journal, The Occidental Quarterly. In 2005, Gemma organized a secretive Arlington, Virginia speaking event for Irving.
Gemma was a featured speaker at a meeting of the notorious Holocaust Denial outfit, the Institute for Historical Review, in 2004. Gemma attended Irving’s 2002 “Real History” Conference where Gemma handled the money for the Occidental Quarterly table.
During the 2000 presidential campaign, Gemma tried to drum up white nationalist support for the Reform Party candidacy of Pat Buchanan by appearing alongside white supremacist notables including David Duke and Don Black at an American Friends of the British National Party event in Virginia.
